In an effort to honor the role that America’s men and women in uniform have played in securing our privilege to cast a ballot each Election Day, the Madison County Supervisor of Elections office is proud to announce the implementation of the Vote in Honor of a Vet program.
Starting November 1, 2013, citizens are encouraged to bring old military photos of friends or family to the Supervisor of Election’s office at 239 SW Pinckney St, Madison, FL. Photos of active military personnel will also be welcomed.
Photos will be displayed inside the Election’s Office on what will be known as the “Wall of Honor”, and citizens will be asked to fill out a biographical information form on the subject. The bio forms will be kept in a notebook inside the Election’s Office for interested citizens to request for inspection.
As an additional way to honor these veterans, friends and/or family who submit photos and bio sheets will be given a “Vote in Honor of a Vet” pin that can be worn on Election Day.
